The GPS program is taught by Georgetown Qatar's highly qualified alumni who have vast experience in teaching and mentorship in addition to excellent educational qualifications.

Throughout the program our instructors, staff and peer tutors (current GU-Q students) are available to provide academic, social, and personal support to the GPS Program students. Instructors have online office hours, during which they are available to meet with students who may want to follow up on a class discussion or go through material that is not clear to them.

Peer tutors are Georgetown Qatar students who serve as teaching assistants and guides for the GPS Program; they serve as mentors and provide both academic and social support to the GPS students.

Attendance Policy

In order to achieve the goals and objectives of the program to the students’ maximum benefit, consistent attendance and punctuality are mandatory every day. Absences, tardiness, and inappropriate behavior will affect students’ standing in the program; repeated violations could result in the withholding of the GPS 2018 Certificate and Grade Report or in dismissal from GPS.

Students will be permitted two (2) absences from the program. If there is a third (3) absence, the student will be asked to leave the program.

If a student is absent due to illness or other reasons for more than two days, he/she will be asked to withdraw from the program, since successful completion of GPS will not be possible due to the amount of time missed.
