Temperature Control
Each room, office, or space has a designated room thermostat to control airflow in the area:
The general recommendation to set Office Temperature:
A general recommendation is to set the office/room temperature at about 22°C (71.6°F) with an expected variation of ±2°C in the actual space temperature (i.e. 20-24°C or 68-75°F).
Each zone in a building has a thermostat which controls the Variable Air Volume (VAV), telling it when to open or shut the damper based upon the temperature needs of the zone (room, office or space area).
Variable Air Volume (VAV) system varies the air quantity rather than temperature to each zone (room, office or space area) to maintain the required set temperature. The VAV regulates the volume of the air to the zone by opening or closing the damper, thus controlling the amount of conditioned air directed to that specific zone (room, office or space area).
The volume of air delivered to the zone (room, office or space area) at a set temperature, controls the temperature of that zone. The variation in volume of air distributed in a space is controlled by a Thermostat located in a zone (your office/room or space area).
