Celebrating the end of the year at Georgetown Day

Georgetown Day

As the university nears the end of another successful academic year, students, faculty and staff enjoyed some much deserved festivity at this year’s Georgetown Day Celebrations. The campus carnival was held in the Atrium on Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 as a final event of the Academic year and served as a fun way to mark the last day of classes.

The “happiest day of the year” was organized by the Office of Student Development, and saw family and friends enjoying tasty treats, winning tickets at fun activity booths that were redeemed for great prizes, and capturing memories at a photo booths. The excitement also moved outside, where water balloons were lobbed across the rolling hills of Oxygen Park at laughing targets.

Mirroring Georgetown’s foundational value of “People for Others,” faculty, students, and staff served as volunteers at Georgetown Day, helping to set up the activities, working the booths, and ensuring everyone had a great time.
