Employees - Return to Campus

This semester, our top priorities continue to be the health, safety, and wellbeing of our university community. Working together, we can minimize the risk by following all safety measures and guidance regarding physical distancing, hygiene, and room capacity limits. Please keep in mind that this public health crisis is an evolving situation, and our response will invariably adapt to the changing conditions over time.

Guide to Returning to Campus

Faculty and Staff:

  • COVID-19 Accommodations
  • Employees required to perform their jobs in person, who wish to self-identify as being in a higher risk category due to the COVID-19 situation may request an accommodation by completing this form. Accommodation requests should be based on employee medical conditions or other high risk factors as defined by public health authorities.
  • As part of the accommodation process, GU-Q HR, in coordination with the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Affirmative Action (IDEAA), may request that an employee provide documentation from a healthcare provider specifying the accommodation needed. Given the confidential nature of medical documentation, requested documentation will be maintained by GU-Q HR and will not be shared with an employee’s supervisor.
  • Alternative Work Arrangements
  • Employees who have concerns related to a household member’s medical condition, or who are interested in exploring flexible working arrangements based on childcare or other circumstances, may submit their request to Nicole Heinz in HR.

  • Students who believe they have conditions that impact their academic performance and their wellbeing can read about Academic Accommodation and contact the Student Wellness & Counseling Center via email at for further advice.
  • Student employees required to perform their jobs in person, who wish to self-identify as being in a higher risk category due to the COVID-19 situation may request an accommodation by completing this form.
