Faculty Conferences
Provided funding is available, GU-Q faculty will receive an annual allowance of $7,500 in support of
conference travel. Conference travel funds are intended to support the dissemination of faculty research
outcomes at scholarly conferences and professional meetings.
Conference Travel funds cannot be used for conference attendance only. Rather, faculty members must
either appear on the conference program or demonstrate that they are making a significant contribution to
the conference or meeting to be attended. This can include, but is not limited to, presenting a research
paper, participating on a panel, serving as a session moderator, participating in a conference committee,
or otherwise serving in a leadership capacity. For more information, consult Conference Travel Policy

Travel funds can be utilized for airfare, accommodation, meals, local transportation, and incidental
expenses. In addition, Conference Travel funds can be used for conference registration.
