Faculty Research Grants

FRG APPLICATION PROCESS

Full-time faculty members with appointments to teach at Georgetown University in Qatar for either a semester or a full-year may apply to receive an internal grant to support their research. The faculty research grant is available for topics in all areas of the social sciences and humanities. Learn more about the FRG Policies.

The maximum individual FRG award is $10,000. FRG funds are intended to support the research activities of the faculty, including travel expenses, in support of specific research projects. Acceptable use of funds include payment for research materials, support for travel connected with the performance of research, costs for research assistance. Requests for conference travel cannot be considered.

To apply, please complete the FRG application and provide a copy of your current C.V. (maximum 5 pages).  Upload these two documents to the box link here by the deadlines indicated below. Alternatively, you can email your application to guqgrants@georgetown.edu.

AY 2022-23

First deadline: September 1, 2022
Funding start date: October 1 – September 30, 2023.

Second deadline: November 1st, 2022
Funding start date: January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023.
