Rima Isaifan

Rima J. Isaifan, is an Associate Professor holding a Ph.D. with the highest honor in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ottawa in Canada. She is experienced in developing nanomaterials for air pollution control and renewable energy applications. Her current research focuses on the characterization of air pollutants and their source apportionment in the context of urban sustainability. In addition, she is experienced in the estimation of the health impact of long-term and short-term exposure to air pollution. She is a certified carbon management leader and holds several certificates in Climate Change policy, finance, mitigation, and planning from Harvard University, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and The United Nations Habitat for a Better Urban Future. She has been involved in several projects, such as the review of Qatar’s Environmental Standards and as a panel reviewer for several proposals submitted to the European Commission, the International Development Research Center in Canada, and the European Association of Research Managers & Administrators. She is also a Senior Academic Accreditation expert at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar, and an Associate Professor at Cambridge Corporate University in Switzerland.
