Fostering SME development in Qatar

While Qatar may not lack the financial resources per se, a number of the aforementioned studies seem to indicate that Qatar may be in developmental stages in regards to its current levels of financial infrastructure, services, and regulatory framework that accommodate the specific needs of SMEs5 . Nonetheless, as in any country, local financial authorities and policymakers play a pivotal role in ensuring financial resource accessibility and promoting financial inclusion. Thereby, effective policies are a necessity in creating and fostering an enabling financial and business climate that is conducive to the creation, growth, and development of SMEs.
