Khalid Al-Jufairi
Adjunct Professor
Khalid Al-Jufairi joins the GU-Q faculty as an Adjunct Professor of International Politics for Fall, 2025. Dr. Al-Jufairi specializes in foreign policy and national security, theories of international relations, and xenophobia and political polarization. He teaches at a number of universities in Doha and abroad, including Qatar University and Ecole d’Etudes Superieures in Paris. His 2023 book, The Centrality of Middle Class: Sociopolitical Resilience and Economic Stability, published by Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press, offers critical insights into the relationship between society’s social challenges, cultural determinants, and the rise—or decline—of the middle class. Dr. Al-Jufairi is the Founder and Vice President of the Ai Center for Storytelling and Intellectual Advancement, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices through innovative storytelling and the strategic use of artificial intelligence. He is also an Abshire-Inamori Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC. Dr. Al-Jufairi serves on the board of several nonprofit organizations including founding and chairing the American Center for Strategic and International Affairs, and his work continues to impact global policy, think tanks and nonprofit sectors. Dr. Al-Jufairi earned his B.S.F.S. degree at Georgetown University in Qatar.
