Yasir Suleiman is Emeritus Professor of Modern Arabic Studies at the University of Cambridge. His publications cover various aspects of the Arabic language in the social world, including issues of identity and conflict. He authored “The 2018 Language Ideological Debate in Morocco,” in The Routledge Handbook of Arabic and Identity (2021). He is also the author of “Being Palestinian: Personal Reflections on Palestinian Identity in the Diaspora”, Journal of Refugee Studies, Vol. 30, Issue 1 (March 2017), pp. 147–149.
