GU-Q Launches Partnership with North Oil Company to Deliver Leadership Program

Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q) is pleased to announce its partnership with North Oil Company to deliver an Integrated Leadership Development Program which aims to equip current and future leaders to drive organizational success in an evolving industry.
At a launch event hosted by GU-Q on April 28, 2025, participants were introduced to the 18-month long program, which will focus on four key areas of institutional development: personal leadership, team performance, business impact, and future readiness. Through a structured curriculum, participants will enhance their self-awareness, adaptability, and leadership acumen, while developing the strategic mindset necessary to lead high-performing teams and deliver tangible business results.
The importance of the program to the company was underscored by attendance at the event by North Oil’s Vice President of Reservoir and Geosciences Atef Al Mohsin, members of its Management Committee and Leadership Team, as well as GU-Q Chief Operating Officer Andrew Henley and Program Management Teams from both organizations.
“GU-Q’s partnership with North Oil Company is rooted in shared values—trust, commitment, respect—and a belief in the transformative power of investing in people,” reflected Henley in the opening remarks, adding: “ Together, we are preparing the leaders who will carry Qatar’s aspirations forward.”
North Oil Company, a joint venture between QatarEnergy and TotalEnergies, operates the Al-Shaheen oil field, Qatar’s largest offshore oil field and one of the largest offshore fields globally. With over 2,000 employees and a vast network of offshore and onshore operations.
Now celebrating its 20th anniversary in Qatar, GU-Q remains committed to capacity building that meets the needs and ambitions of the region.
