GU-Q Alumni Share Management Consultancy Tips and Insights with Students

On November 3, sixteen GU-Q students attended a presentation by three Georgetown alumni who now work for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The alumni came back to campus to share their professional experiences about PwC’s organizational structure and recruitment process for graduates.
The three alumni, Oscar Ibrahim (SFS-Q’10), Will Cha (SFS-Q’13) and Grace Moore (SFS-Q’13), are management consultants with PwC. They provided guidance and advice regarding submitting applications, interviewing and thriving on those first steps of the career ladder.”As someone interested in consultancy, it was good to get detailed insight about the work done at PwC from the perspective of people who graduated from Georgetown,” said Sarim Zia, an International Economics major from the Class of 2014.
PwC Assistant Manager Oscar Ibrahim said: “I was very happy to see the high turnout and interest from students who proactively take the reins of their future careers. As an SFS-Q alumnus, I am glad to see we are reaching a critical mass as a school to allow effective professional networking. As a PwC employee, it is just as important for us to inform and engage bright students early on, as it is for them to build up their careers; we can only grow as much as our people do.”
Sponsored by the GU-Q Office of Career Services, the successful event fueled an enthusiasm among the student attendees to present themselves as accurately and positively as possible to potential employers.
Career Services Manager Sandy Kim said, “I am delighted about the turn-out for the event and am extremely appreciative of our talented alumni who have shared their time and expertise with their fellow Hoyas.”
