SFSQatar Receiving Admissions Applications Until Thursday, March 1
This Thursday, March 1st, 2012 marks the final global deadline for the submission of all applications to the Bachelor of Science of Foreign Service (BSFS) program at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Qatar (SFSQ).
All prospective students intending to register for the term of 2012/2013 are encouraged to submit a complete file including passport photocopy, personal statement, essay, transcripts and reports, and TOEFL, IELTS, SAT or ACT results where applicable. Applications can be filled out online at the institution’ website: qatar.sfs.georgetown.edu/admissions/apply.
According to a spokesperson, applicants should direct any questions to SFSQadmissions@georgetown.edu, while all materials must be brought to Admissions Office, Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service in Qatar, PO Box 23689, Doha, Qatar.
“Please be sure to fill out all forms as completely as possible and to seek out assistance of our admissions staff if you require it. Additionally, our admissions website contains a detailed list of FAQs to address common areas of inquiry,” said the spokesperson.
The Georgetown’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service ranks number one according to Foreign Policy Magazine for its Master’s program and fifth overall for its undergraduate programs in international relations (IR), respectively.
The school earned the accolades based on the 2011 Teaching, Research, and International Policy (TRIP) project at the College of William and Mary, involving feedback from 1,582 IR scholars who rated Georgetown University as offering the best master’s program worldwide for students who want to pursue careers in international relations.
Georgetown University’s SFS, whose branch in Qatar, SFSQ, also ranked among the top five, among Harvard, Princeton, Stanford and Columbia, for the best universities for an undergraduate international relations education.
