Travel Registration

The university mandates that all employees on university related business travel register their travel online through Georgetown’s International SOS Portal. Business-related travel airline bookings arranged and ticketed through the GU-Q Travel Office are automatically registered with Georgetown International SOS.

Business Travel Policy

GU-Q employees are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the travel policy.

Health Insurance

Employees who receive medical insurance as part of their employment with GU-Q should check with GU-Q HR about what international coverage is available. If you are enrolled in a non-university plan you should confirm coverage with that provider directly. Remember to inquire about emergency medical evacuation and repatriation. Consult with the Travel Office should you need additional coverage for the time that you are traveling overseas.
