Media Branding and Viewer Perception in Qatar

The purpose of this project is to examine the connections between viewer backgrounds, their perceptions of news, and the prejudices they develop against global media brands. The issues explored in this project are of particular relevance and interest to Qatar and its research culture. Al Jazeera is a prominent factor in promoting Qatar on the global stage, ensuring its Arab identity, and consequently its geopolitical influence. Therefore, it is of interest for Qatar to better understand how the residents of Qatar perceive Al Jazeera.
