Student Grants
GU-Q students are eligible for several sources of funding for research or experiential-related activities. For more information about the programs available and application procedures please browse this page.
Student Research Grants: Research grants provide Georgetown students with the resources to expand the scope of their intellectual scholarship. Eligible students can apply for grants to conduct high-quality and original field research.
The application for the research grant is now open and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Student Conference Grants: Conference grants provide an opportunity for Georgetown students to present their research at prestigious academic conferences and partake in high-level diplomatic forums. Students have presented their work at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research and participated as official delegates at the United Nations Climate Change Conferences.
The application for the conference grant is now open and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Student Experience Fund: The SEF supports GU-Q students in their creative projects and advanced academic learning. Students can apply for grants for media and filmmaking, summer courses, internships, and more.
The application for the fall cycle of the SEF is now open. The deadline to apply is September 15 at 11:59 PM (Qatar time).
Undergraduate Research Experience Program (UREP): The UREP provides students with an opportunity to develop their research skills, gain experience in team-based collaboration and participate in a real world project under the mentorship of a GU-Q faculty member. There are two application cycles each year with competition deadlines taking place in the Spring and Fall semesters.
