CITI Training
Human Subject Protection in Research Training (CITI Training)
Certification that one has completed training in human subject protection in research is required of all Georgetown University in Qatar faculty, investigators, study coordinators, and other individuals directly involved in human subject research. An individual may complete this training, which should be updated every three years, by completing the online course from the Collaborative IRB Training Initiative (CITI). You will need to register and create your own username and password. Select Georgetown University as your institution. See directions on adding a course below.
- Select “View Courses” once you have logged into your CITI account. After which, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select “Add Course.” You will be prompted to a form with ten questions, please select not at this time for all questions except question number two.
- For question number two, please select the “Social-Behavioral-Educational Human Subject Protection (SBE) Comprehensive” course. Previously, this was called the “Group 2 – Social and Behavioral Research for Conduct.”
- Begin the course under “My Courses” after agreeing to the Integrity Assurance Statement.
NOTE: Please refer to the screenshots below for further information on choosing the correct CITI training course to fulfill the HSP Training requirement.
