Degree Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) Degree Requirements
Starting with the first-year class entering in fall 2018 (excluding transfer students), candidates for the Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) Degree must complete the following requirements:
- Completion of at least 38 courses worth three or more credit hours
- Completion of at least 120 credit hours
- Completion of the SFS-Q Core Curriculum
- Completion of one of the major programs
- Achievement of Foreign Language Proficiency
- Attainment of a final cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better
- Completion of the university's two year residency requirement, including completing one half of the courses required for the major in residence
Incoming transfer students for 2018-2019 and all students who matriculated prior to fall 2018 must complete the following degree requirements:
- Completion of at least 40 courses worth three or more credit hours
- Completion of at least 120 credit hours
- Completion of the SFS-Q Core Curriculum
- Completion of one of the major programs
- Achievement of Foreign Language Proficiency
- Attainment of a final cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better
- Completion of the university's two year residency requirement, including completing one half of the courses required for the major in residence
