Georgetown Qatar Model United Nations (GQMUN)
Georgetown University in Qatar invites your university to apply and become a part of our first-ever Georgetown Qatar Model United Nations (GQMUN) Conference for university students within the MENA and GCC regions! After almost two decades of delivering stellar conferences for high school students around the world, we are confident that we will provide an enriching experience for university students as well. We remain steadfast in our commitment to deliver high-quality debate and meaningful discussion between university students in Qatar.
Dates: Thursday, November 16th to Saturday, November 18th, 2023
FOR UNIVERSITIES OUTSIDE QATAR
We invite interested universities to apply and bring a team of six student delegates to the conference. The maximum we can accommodate is two delegations or 12 students per university. We cannot guarantee two delegations for each school, it will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
Registration fee of 150 USD per person. Please note that Georgetown University in Qatar will be covering the cost of accommodation, flights, meals, visas, and transportation for the duration of the conference.

Acceptance email from GUQ: 10th October 2023
Submission of passport copy of all participants: 14 October 2023
Registration fee payment deadline: 19 October 2023
*Please note that owing to travel restrictions of Qatar which are out of our control we cannot secure entry visas for passport holders of Syria, Egypt, and students with the Palestinian travel document issued in Syria or Egypt. We also face some difficulties for passport holders of Jordan, Iran, and Yemen, so we urge the university to exercise caution when selecting their participants.
FOR UNIVERSITIES IN QATAR
We invite interested university students to apply. Registration fee of 100 QAR per person. Please note that Georgetown University in Qatar will be covering the cost of breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the conference site which is the Marriot Marquis City Centre hotel.
